Communities in Rocky Point: Cholla Bay was one of the first communities of Rocky Point. This area is home to JJ's Cantina and the point of origin of many sport fishing tournaments. The bay empties out a long way at low tide and offers a vast sandy beach for clamming, running and playing or just walking. There are two high tides and two low tides each day in Rocky Point. There is an eclectic mix of newer and older homes. Las Conchas was the first community with HOA's and the majority of houses are newer and conform to higher standards. Sandy Beach is where you will find the high rise condos and a small community called Costa Diamante of private homes.
